Creating an account and profile information
When you create or update a Bard account, you provide some personal information, such as your name, a username, a picture and a short biography. If you create your Bard account by connecting through another service, such as Facebook or Twitter, we may use public information from that connected account to help complete your profile. Your profile information is listed publicly, including on your profile page and in search results, and you can use either your real name or a pseudonym.
In addition to using your contact information to create your account, we may use this information to send you information about our Services, respond to your requests and facilitate your use of the Services. We may use the contact information (such as your phone number or email address) to help connect you with other Bard users, even if that information is not publicly displayed
We may use your contact information to market to you. You may unsubscribe from marketing and notification emails that we send you by following instructions contained within those emails. As part of providing you the Services, we may need to provide you with certain communications, such as service announcements and administrative messages. These communications are considered part of the Services and your account, which you may not be able to opt-out from receiving.
We collect information about how you interact with our Services. For example, we may collect information about the content you create and the features you access.
We may keep track of how you interact with links across our Services, including our email notifications, third-party services, and client applications, by redirecting clicks or through other means. We do this to help improve our Services, for example to provide relevant advertising, and to be able to share aggregate click statistics such as how many times a particular link was clicked on.
Cookies and similar technologies
We may collect information ("Log Data") such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, the referring web page, pages visited, location, your mobile carrier, device information (including device and application IDs), search terms, and cookie information. We receive Log Data when you interact with our Services, for example, when you visit our websites, sign into our Services, or interact with our email messages. We may also receive Log Data when you click on, view or interact with links on our Services. We use Log Data in order to troubleshoot, understand, and improve our services.
